S System Keg Coupler with Brass Body and Brass Probe- Without PRV
S system keg coupler, also known as European Sankey is used by many European breweries such as Stella Artois, Heineken, Becks, Amstel Light, and Pilsner Urquell. The probe of the S System Coupler is made of stainless steel that will not wear away over time. To ensure which type of coupler you need for the keg please visit Our Keg type for beer list.
European Sankey keg coupler (S-type) looks similar to an American Sankey (D system). But as compared to the D-type coupler, the S-type coupler is longer and narrower which makes it a completely different type altogether. The probe of the S-type coupler is 1/4” longer than the latter
Repair kits are also available.
What does the Keg Coupler do?
The keg coupler is a “key” for the keg valve which acts as a “lock” for the keg. They can’t work without each other. Each system keg coupler is compatible with a particular keg valve. Therefore, the S system keg coupler is compatible with only the S system valve. Visit our beer system listing for an expanded listing of beers that use the “S” system valve.
The keg coupler connects the gas line and the beer line with the keg allowing the pressurized gas (CO2) to enter the keg. CO2 gas, on entering, pushes beer out of the keg. This beer travels through the beer line to the tap.
As a result, you get a perfectly chilled and delicious draft beer in the comfort of your home.
